"How can I use this to improve myself? How can I do this better?" Ni types are caught up in fantasy, dreams, theoretical and abstract visions of self and world. Ni types are independent, has little communication with others, T even less social than F. Ni types enjoy generating ideas and challenges for potential self-improvement and self-mastery, then follow through and do it. Ni types are good with conceptualizing, and anticipating implications. They seek to change their understanding of a situation rather than change the situation itself. Ni types enjoy interpreting and understanding life. They do this meditatively, with insights popping into their heads, almost like magic when they are still and quiet, focused inward but not consciously seeking. |
Introverted iNtuitives are the world's mystics, prophets and visionaries. Future oriented, they see and seek the trends of the future, and are surprised that others don't see them as easily as they do. They pick up patterns, symbols and images, usually going from the specific occurrence to the general application, and seem to see into the future. They can look at very different, contradictory information, issues and situations, and see the thread of similarity that connects them or weaves them together. They process things beneath their awareness, giving them "ah-hah!" moments when the formed connection pops into their consciousness.
Contemplative and conservative as viewed by others, their inside world is rich with activity -- innovative ideas and profound insights that allow them to predict and enlighten.
They are determined, perseverant, and inspired. They live to predict, enlighten, and transform. They are much better at dreaming the dream, than manifesting the dream into reality. However, their vision of the future carries such a sense of certainty and imperative quality, that they are prompted into action, and motivated to stay focused so the vision can be manifested. Their thinking is often symbolic and conceptual, and leans toward universal understanding or application.
