"How can I get sensory pleasure from this?"
Se types pay exquisite attention to their external environment, and are completely at home in the physical world. They jump right in, immersing themselves, loving in-the-moment thrills and pleasures, always aware of what is around them. Se types have little interest in thinking or reasoning, or finding subjective meaning in the outer world. Se types accept reality just as it is, and are tolerant of others. They enjoy highly sensory activities, and are pleasure-seeking. Se types generally ignore the instruction manual except when absolutely necessary. They will continuously ask questions to get the specifics. |

Se is the shorthand for "extroverted Sensing." It is an information accessing process (PERCEIVING).
Extroverted Sensors love experiencing the physical world in an active, engaged way. They have an enviable natural sensualness and comfortableness with their bodies and all things physical. They are aware of and appreciate the rich detail of the sensory world, and can become totally absorbed in taking in sensory data - sounds, smells, images, textures, and tastes until exhausted or distractd. Yet, somehow, they can pick out the relevant details from the flood of information coming in, and act on them. They will know the names of the restaurants, the stats on all the football players - for them, life itself is a game of Trivial Pursuit™
Extroverted Sensors live in the present tense - or rather the immediate tense. They seek to gain as much pleasure as possible from this very moment. Because they are so immediate tense and can move easily from one focus to another, they can leave others with the impression they are hyperactive or unfocused. Rather than being energized by observing the external world, they are energized by participating in it. They are agile and graceful, and often athletic. Unlike their talkative counterparts, these Extroverts use physical action as their way of expressing themselves.
Extroverted Sensors have no awareness or respect for the status quo or heirarchy, seeing all people as just people like themselves. They prefer to keep things simple, are practical and realistic, yet naturally optimistic and love variety and the unexpected.
Words that describe the Extroverted Sensor include: spontaneous, action-oriented, flexible, freedom-seeking, fun-loving, entertaining, good-natured, tolerant, curious, adventurous. They don't want contemplate the world or change it -- just experience and enjoy it fully and actively with unbridled enthusiasm. The more the merrier -- people, things, activities.
They are concrete in how the approach the world, often choosing professions and hobbies that allow them to use tools -- whether that tool is language, or hammers, saws and sewing machines. They provide help to others in practical ways, have good manual dexterity, and are particularly versed in handling emergencies, since they are able to act seemingly without thinking. They learn best by watching then doing, due to their power of observation. They teach the same way - showing rather than telling.
