"ENTJs take their energy from outer world of people and external events. They prefer dealing with patterns and possibilities, and making decisions after considering the consequences of the various courses of action. Their life is organized on a logical basis. They tend to control life, organizing systems and people to meet task oriented goals. They often take the role of executive or director, using a business-like and impersonal approach. They may appear intolerant of people who do not set high standards for themselves or don't seem to be good at what they do.
ENTJs take charge quickly and deal directly with problems, especially in situations that involve confusion and inefficiency. They provide structure to the organizations to which they belong and design strategies to accomplish their personal and organizational goals. They develop broad, action-oriented plans, and supply the necessary energy and momentum to see that these plans are accomplished. They are "take charge" people who organize their own and others' external environments. They do not take "no" for an answer; instead, they use their resources to find a way to meet the challenge. They re at their best in using their analytical and strategic thinking."5

"For ENTJs the driving force in their lives is their need to analyze and bring into logical order the outer world of events, people, and things. ENTJs are natural leaders who build conceptual models that serve as plans for strategic action. Intuition orients their thinking to the future, and gives their thinking an abstract quality. ENTJs will actively pursue and direct others in the pursuit of goals they have set, and they prefer a world that is structured and organized."6

"ENTJs direct their energy towards the outer world of actions and spoken words. They organize and structure the world according to logical principles, tending to control life - organizing systems and people to meet task oriented goals and trying to improve the way things are done."7

"The theme is leading. They are the natural organization builders and leaders. Frank and decisive. Able to think and react quickly. Exude confidence. Are well informed. Direct and strategic."8

The Negative Side of ENTJ

"You can be tactless when talking about intimate subjects and insensitive to others feelings. Your humor often has double meaning. When you are in action you can be rude and show bad manners. You like excessive attention. Organizing everyday matters can cause you considerable difficulty. You often have no time for rest. Although you always try to maintain a healthy style of life, you don't take as much care of yourself as you should. You often do not show enough attention to your appearance and ignore advice on this subject. You are not so sure about your aesthetic understanding either." 10

ENTJ Under STRESS

"ENTJs can get ahead of themselves and jump to conclusions in their effort to get things done. They may need to be reminded to take the time to listen to other points of view. Being tough-minded, ENTJs have a tendency to ignore their own and others' feelings. With a burning desire to achieve and a constant eye on how current decision will effect end results ENTJs may become overly argumentative when obstacles get in their way. Small talk and casual conversations appear frivolous and without merit when projects are at hand. This, along with the NT's nature of being impervious to social conventions and customs, can cause others to feel affronted.
When ENTJs sense that they are losing control, they feel an increasing need for completion. If stress continues, they become distracted by a compelling "got to" and "have to" state of mind. Their need to master a situation then becomes misdirected and they engage in compulsive behaviors that preoccupy their attention and time. Feeling helpless, and lacking confidence, they resort to completing simple, meaningless, repetitive tasks (i.e. cleaning, counting, inspecting ) in an effort to avoid a growing sense of failure. By avoiding ineptitude at all costs, their competence and ability are never fully tested. Ironically, these all-consuming distractions are the very behaviors that prevent ENTJs from fulfilling their basic need for achievement and improvement." 11

"Under great stress, ENTJs can be overwhelmed by self-doubt, feel alone and unappreciated, and be unable to express their distress to others." 12

Stress Management for ENTJ (Feeding the Fourth)

Do activities that require you to ask, "How many ways does this affect me? Does it fit with who I am?" in a subjective, emotionally aware manner, such as using words that have an emotional charge for you and playing Spiritual Hopscotch
