Fi is the shorthand for "introverted Feeling." It is an organizing and evaluating process (JUDGING).
Introverted Feelers primary mission in life is to live a life of authenticity and integrity, with actions consistent with strongly held personal beliefs and values. They weigh everything they do against what they believe is important. Their decision making process operates almost continuously, weighing major and minor choices against what they value, want or believe in.
Introverted Feelers are gentle, kind, sympathetic and empathic people. They are sensitive to other people's hardships, fears, pain, and discomfort.
They are intense and passionate, yet private and discrete, so only their closest friends may know their most closely held values, and, therefore, what they are passionate about. They live in a self-imposed prison of self-improvement and self-expression. Their goals are to find happiness, balance and a sense of completeness. They love inspiring and helping each person find his/her own unique definition of happiness, success and contentment - which also is their goal for themselves.
They generally live by a high personal moral code, and encourage others to do so as well. They are usually tolerant of other people's values and beliefs, flexible and understanding. They crave being understood, and express deep gratitude to those willing to take the required time to develop deep, meaningful intimate emotional relationships with them.
They are peace keepers in that they express themselves through their actions more than through speaking out. Generally, they live their lives quietly, persistently showing their values though behind the scenes action. However, it is not uncommon for an Introverted Feeler to become distraught when someone else's words and actions don't match, or when witnessing injustice, especially to the down-trodden. Then, they can suddenly become an outspoken Hero for the higher moral ground.
