This section contains four checklists, one for each of the four Myers-Briggs personality type dichotomies (E / I, S / N, T / F, and J / P). The purpose of these checklists is to make it easier for you to do a self-assessment of your Myers-Briggs personality type.
To avoid any misunderstandings (and keep us all out of legal trouble), please keep the following in mind:
- These checklists are just my way of organizing the information so you can better understand the characteristics of each Myers-Briggs "letter"; and, therefore, more easily identify which "letters" are part of your own brain's operating system.
- These checklists were NOT created from the MBTI ©, and do not constitute a shortened or abridged form of the MBTI ©.
- These checklists have NOT been tested for any sort of reliability and/or validity, and cannot be categorized as an "inventory" or "test instrument" for the purposes of accurately determining your best-fit personality type.
- These checklists are not in the public domain, and are protected by copyright laws. Please do not duplicate or share these checklists with anyone without Dr. Koenig's written permission, especially within your workplace or organization, even if you work for the government, a church or non-profit organization.

The following are key words and phrases associated with each of the four basic temperaments, compiled from a wide variety of sources.
It should be relatively easy for you to identify which of the four descriptions below describes you best. If you are not sure, at least narrow it down to two of the four.

After you decide, take some time to read some of the Temperament descriptions that are online. Then, make a note of your temperament letters, and continue on to the four dichotomy checklists.
