Using Optimism and Personality Type in Schools

Many of the techniques used to improve grades, performance, and interpersonal relationships have the side effects of motivating behavior change, and improving physical and mental health.

Dr. Koenig is available to teach school staff (administrators, teachers, and school nurses) through the following skill-building playshops:

HOPE Optimism
Dr. Martin Seligman's book, "Learned Optimism", is the cornerstone of this program. Simple solutions, like adding the word "yet" to your student's proclamation of "I can't do this!" helps convince struggling students that haven't yet doesn't mean can't!
Personality Type Personality Type & Health
Many factors interplay to determine each student's learning style. In this playshop, attendees learn how to apply Myers Briggs personality type concepts to healthy lifestyle behaviors including fitness (physical exercise) and meditation - to help themselves and their students.

Self-Care for Teachers

HOPE Energy Enhancing Techniques
In order to be there for others, you need to put your own oxygen mask on first. These easy to learn methods of energy enhancement can assist you with starting your day energized, and refresh you throughout the day.

Dr. Koenig is located in Denver, Colorado, and travels throughout the U.S. to deliver programs. Please contact her at the e-mail address below or call 720-840-7288, if your group is interested in "The Teacher's Classroom" playshops.
