My original letter sent to the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (1995), asking hospitals to become wellness centers instead of just disease centers, suggesting that they add fitness centers, behavior change programs and evidence based primary preventive medicine techniques borrowed from other cultures, such as meditation, Tai Chi, and yoga.
